Education
- Ph.D., University of Wisconsin-Madison, 1984

Research Interests
- Use of remotely-sensed data in global change studies
- Geographic information systems integration and spatial modeling.

Current Research Activities
- Development of an expert system for optical water quality parameters in estuarine
environment, with the objective of investigating the primary productivity and carbon
cycling important for monitoring global change
- Application of space shuttle SIR-C/X-SAR data in tectonic analysis and topographic
change detection
- Integration of geospatial data into GIS for hazardous waste sites investigation.
