Solar and Thermal Properties

The solar and thermal properties of fabric structures make them energy efficient. The translucency of the fabric can be varied between 6% and 13%, allowing daytime lighting to be reduced or eliminated. Teflon coated fiberglass has a refelctivity of 70%, which is advantageous in hot climates. In colder climates, additional layer(s) of fabric may be used to insulate by creating a dead air space.
