Shape finding routine

This applet below was adapted from the Fortran program found in Fortran programs but also uses analysis code that will find equilibrium within a specified number of iterations for finding the shape. This procedure is described here.

One of the nice features here is the click-and-drag capability to rotate the object and view it from different angles. If you want to print this page, be sure to click on Invert Colors first.

After rotating the object for a good view, try changing the sample default radius of 70.7 (last item in the text field) to 60.7 and then click on Read Data to see how this can give you a quick visualization of a shape. Click on the Help button for a more complete description of the input data.
